Even though the ending is somewhat predictable (esp given the dark warning), you manage to keep me second-guessing towards the end.
One thing I feel incomplete is Draco's true feelings towards Hermione. I guess the sequel will address it, but I feel I get cheated that I need to rely on the sequel.
Author's Response: I wanted to leave Draco's feelings ambiguous at the end. If I wrapped everything up nicely, why would anyone read the sequel? Hahaha But for those who didn't want to, I did write an alternate ending, so there's that option, too. It was hard for me to break out of those fanfic patterns. Looking back, there definitely are things I'd change now. But at least I managed to keep you guessing! Thank you so much for reading!
You did an amazing job with this story and have loads of talent! I personally encourage you to write your own books with your own personal characters! I can only imagine how great it would be!
Author's Response: Thank you!! I have definitely toyed around with the idea of writing a novel and have even gone as far as to scribble down some ideas of plots and characters. They are still a long way off from becoming anything even remotely interesting, but I do appreciate your support!! :D
This is my second time reading this incredible fic and I plan on reading the Resilient again as well. Just like the first time around your writing captured my emotions and it was as if I had never even read it before. Each twist seemed new and exciting even though I knew in the back of my mind what was to happen. You were able to create a realistic relationship between Hermione and Draco that wasn't too hasty and completely believable. Hermiones anguish was heartwrenching and Draco's scene at the end sent chills down my spine (and more than enough tears down my face). You have an unbelievable talent and this is by far my favorite fic- other than the Resilient of course! Keep up the incredible work!
Author's Response: One thing I love about the Harry Potter series is its re-readability. It's so easy and wonderful to sink back into those books - comforting, but (to me, at least!) never boring. I'm beyond flattered that you feel the same way with this story. I'm glad that you were able to experience it again! Thank you so much! :D
Wow...I can't wait to read the sequel, great story!
Author's Response: Thank you!! I hope you enjoy "The Resilient" as well!
Oh my, I am sobbing! This is the best fan fiction I have ever read, definitely need to read the sequel Is there a link somewhere? Keep up the good work, J.K would be proud!
Author's Response: Aw! :hugs: The sequel is called "The Resilient" and you can find a link to it on my author's page. And thank you so much for reading and reviewing!
your story was amazing. the end is heartbreaking i wish he could of saved her somehow.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it and, if you're at all interested in seeing what happens next, please check out the sequel! It's called "The Resilient." :)
It was a great story. This had so many twists and turns. Draco's betrayal was the worst, even though you had left several hints over various chapters. I will probably head out to read The Resilient. Hermione's life must be horrific now, knowing that she was instrumental in the death of her friends and helping Voldemort gain power, and Draco's betrayal. It's some good writing. And even with Draco's betrayal, the last bit of this chapter almost made my eyes sting. His anguish was tangible.
Nicely done!
Author's Response: Yes, "The Resilient" is quite a bit darker than this fic was for all the reasons you mentioned. I hope you enjoy it! Thank you so, SO much for reading and reviewing!!
Wow.....captured me the whole way I couldn't stop reading,I felt the emotion with the characters :) loved it thanks right not unto resilient :P x
Author's Response: Thank you!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
I AM READING THIS AND I THINK I ALMOST FAINTED, IT WAS THAT GOOD!!!!
Author's Response: :D :D You don't know how excited I was to see something like 48 new e-mails in my in-box this morning, lol!! I would reply to them all but honestly that would just take too much time, so I hope you can forgive me for that and accept this reply as thanks for all of them! I really loved reading your thoughts after each chapter and I'm so glad I could keep you hooked!! I really appreciate all the time you took to drop a note after each! THANK YOU!!!! <3
Holy Crap!!! I am addicted! Great chapter as usual!!!!
Draco you bastard!!!!! I swear, if I could get my hands wrapped around his damned neck!!! Ahem. Anyways, thanks for the chapter, brilliant as always.
Salazar is a jerk. Enough said but I'm worried now and with only a few more chapters I'm feeling anxious! Good job!
OMG!!!!!!!! Now, where did I put my fan? Man, my face is so hot! That was bloody, excellent!!! Phew, take deep breaths...I'm reading it again.
That was beautiful and I can picture it so wonderfully in my mind! Wonderful!
Aw! I'm so jealous! And yet, I'm still worried as hell about what else is happening and I really don't like it.
Draco isn't telling her about Channing and that bothers me! I'm not going to trust him until everything is out in the open.
Now you've got me worried! Damn, I'd nearly forgotten about the mission that Lucius had given him, via the Dark Lord. Damn, i hate him again.
Eeek!!! Get away from her you bastard!!!!
