Can't wait to find out what that was all about.
I think I'd prefer Diagon Alley
This is going to be fun.
So completely different from HP. I like the way you have developed this new world. I am so looking forward to reading the rest of the story, and the next part you have started.
I think it's obvious you/ve given Alex the attitude adjustment and I can't wait to find out what she does with it.
You are an outstanding writer. If there is any chance you have written books that have been published please let me know, I'd love to read them. I am a reader first and foremost.
I think Alexandra needs an attitude adjustment, but I like the overall story.
I'm liking this already.
'But its STANDARDIZED testing....' Yes! that is exactly the reasoning my teachers use.... and very American- giving placement exams.
...Don't tell me you take those moonbats from ASPEW seriously?”
I believe that is a typo, unless SPEW is now the (A)bnormal (S)ociety for the (P)romotion of (E)lfish (W)elfare...
Other than that, your a wonderful author! I just finished Hogwarts Divided (waiting for the last few chapters), and now im gonna tackle this other monster!
Author's Response: Actually, it's American Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare. Obviously, Hermione's influence has spread internationally. ;)
Dear Author of Alexandra Quick,
Hi! I have to ask a question. I was wondering if you could tell about the other school's of magic's in America? Can you post them on the Harry Potter fanon website?
P.S. I saw the Alexandra Quick on the Harry Potter fanon website and I am really looking forward to seeing the Lands Below, with the new character's! Oh, when is Lands below going to be posted?
Wow. I had never heard of the Harry Potter fanon website until now! I'm impressed that someone has put all that information about my stories on there, but it wasn't me.
You will learn a little more about some of the other American wizarding schools in Alexandra Quick and the Lands Below. It is being betaed now, so it should be posted in a month or two (I hope!)
Absolutely Brilliant!!! I can't wait to read what happens with this great cast of characters in the 7th grade! Well done. It was a pleasure to read.
Dear Author of Alexandra Quick,
Hi! I really liked this first story of Alexandra Quick! I have a couple of questions. What happend to Alex, when she was on the Thorn Cricle? Did someone come back or something? Just wondering. Also will Alexandra, get to see her father in the next story? One more thing, when will the next one of year two of Alexandra Quick to be posted and will she get to see her friend, Anna and go to her house?
Author's Response: Thank you for your review! I don't quite understand your first question, though. What do you mean, "when she was on the Thorn Circle"? (Feel free to PM me, if you like.) As for your other questions, you'll have to read the next book to find out, but Anna will definitely be in it. ;) I am writing it now, and will be posting it later this year.
Great Story! I feel there is going to be a twist at the end, of the series! Also, did Voldemort come back when Alexandra was at the Thorn Cricle? Also when will year two be posted?
P.S. Keep Up the good Work!
Author's Response: Alexandra was born in 1996, about two years before Voldemort's death. I have written about twenty chapters so far of book two. Look for it later this year. Thanks for the review!
Thanks, that was a great story.
Looking forward to hearing more about Alexandra in the future.
i made the mistake of starting to read some of your reviews and then realized," oh no! i forgot im not up to date like i am on 'HOGWARTS HOUSES DIVIDED'. so i got a bit of a spoiler. just wanted to say your original story is very creative. i noticed your stories are canon compliant but you dont rely heavily on canon at all! you put in a great deal of effort to create yr own cast. at first 'A.Q. & the thorn circle' moved a little slowly compared to 'H.H.D.' but i stuck with it and am just now learning about the thorn circle. ooh its getting interesting! your quite the prolific writer for someone who joined in january!! ^_^
Now this was quite a good ending to a great story. Can't wait till the next one!
An excellent ending that leaves us all begging for more. Governor-General Hucksteen seems like a powerful baddie. One gets the suspicion that the dark wizards are already in charge and the Thorn Circle may be the freedom fighters. I look forward to the continuation.
Excellant novel. Eagerly await the Lands below.
I think your explanation of why Ben wanted to kill Alex is logical and makes sense. I still question how a baby can be a secret keeper when language hasn't been developed yet. Also part of me suspects that the secret has already been told to someone because how else would Ben know that he was a member of the Thorn Circle? But for now your explanation suffices.
All the members of the Thorn Circle know they are members -- they have to! However, they cannot tell anyone else, just as everyone in the Order of the Phoenix knew about Grimmauld Place, but they couldn't talk about it to anyone else. Only the Secret Keeper could.
As for Alex being a Secret Keeper, the Fidelius Charm (as described in the books) places a secret inside a living soul. Rowling never said that the Secret Keeper must actually know or understand the secret. Hence the idea that became the key plot device in this story. Thanks for your comments!
