Very nice story! Kind of creepy, very sad, but altogether a very good story. I'm excited to read more of your stories. By the way I'll be expecting those cookies :)
Oh why did you have to do that??? Now I'm crying!
Weird, really weird to fall in love with someone that's dead
Ahh! So much suspense!
Hmm well I never could resist puppy dog eyes :). no I'm just kidding. It's really good, and now I'm wondering if she's going to go back in time.
In the forth paragraph, second sentence: Rose flipped to the back one more page and found another set of notes in read. Did you mean another set of notes in red?
I like it a lot! It sounds like a great start to a great story!
I hope Rose manages to go back in time and successfully save Severus. My favorite part was when Albus and Lily turned into Harry and Ron and got things they needed but weren't supposed to have. I hope you take us back in time soon.
You made me imagine the fear that Rose lived with from having all of that death surround her. Now I'm wondering why Severus was working on a potion for a current deadly disease, all of those years ago. Did this disease exist before now? Great chapter.
So far, I'm intrigued and so full of questions. I will continue reading to see if my questions are answered. Why is Grimmauld Place so derelict and dirty? Why can everyone see it right now? Great chapter.
Well, I read up to chapter 4 and was going to ask about the Time Turners and the plausibility of it being used to the extent, but now that I've read the whole story, it doesn't matter anymore. So many really good little ideas combined with a brilliant plot and some very good characterisation. (Incidentally, I am trying write a fic about Lily (I) and Snape Pre-Hogwarts and I am having so much trouble with them!) And I loved the twists! It was sad but it fitted together perfectly. And Rose possibly finding someone new when she finds his grave is just genius and it gave me hope for her. It's just a shame that so many others had to die too, but that's what epidemics do I suppose.
oh my god, i'm sitting here crying right now, this is so damn good i can't take the overwhelming emotions *extreme fangirl cries*
Whenever you beg for reviews at the end of the chapter, I can only channel incredulousness. Although I do admit that I just had to know what happens next that I didn't stop to review...
A wonderfully, moving, powerful, powerful story which should bag the awards for whichever category it's nominated in.
I really can't express how awesome this story is! And that is my only real regret in this review. Everything else was perfect.
Such a disjointed review, forgive me.
I hate you. I hate you. I hate you.
Which is, of course, code for "I absolutely love you, you're a freaking awesome writer."
No, seriously. I got so so involved in this story emotionally. If I cried at books/stories, I would've cried for this one (and I don't say that about a lot of stories). Even though the story was so full of sadness - something I usually kind of hate - I loved it. The plot, everything. And the characterizations, all of them, were so good!
Also the originality of it all was refreshing. I mean, okay, Time Turners not so much. But the disease? And the idea of ROSE being in love with Severus - I must admit that was mostly the reason I clicked into this story; I was curious how you would pull that off. And you did, oddly enough - it wasn't a happy love, but it was realistic.
Seriously. Kudos to you on this. It's just a marvelous story. Depressing, but amazing.
I really love this story, but I almost cried when she did'nt kiss him...
Author's Response: Life's not fair is it? Especially when there are evil writers live me... I'd love to write a happy ending, I truly would, but whenever I put my pen on paper all that comes out is evil... :/ :) Thanks for the review!
*sobs loudly* You made me cry! It was so sad when Snape died and Rose was devastated... *wipes tear away*
Anyways, this was an amazing story. I could feel all the emotions that Rose was going through and her sadness over James and Snape... All I can say is that this is now my new favorite fic! *holds up 10 stars out of 5*
Author's Response: *bounces around excitedly* Thanks so much for the review! I'm super glad you enoyed the fic, considering that I didn't (and don't) think it is my best. But I love Rose and Severus now. :p
This is all so clever. I love the "another flower!" thing.
Author's Response: Thanks so much. :)
Thank you for a wonderful story! I was at times very sad, especially James' funeral. That Lullaby song must be a tearjerker. I don't own a Josh Grobin cd, but I know he sings some very powerful songs.
It is a shame that Rose blames herself for those in her life who died from the disease. Of course we all blame ourselves for something that we did'nt do.
But it was a nice ending, surprized to see that Severus was laid to rest next to James and Lily Potter...I suppose Harry arranged that. Rather nice of him, since Severus had no relatives to bury him.
IOnce again, congratulations on a wonderful story!
Author's Response: You're very welcome! I'm flattered you liked it, as I usually despise my stories. I heard "Lullaby" for the first time after I started this story and I immediately thought that it sounded like a song for James's funeral. It inspired the chapter, so I couldn't leave it out. I agree that Rose blaming herself is sad, but I didn't expect anything else out of her (my characters write me, if you want to know, I can't seem to write them - minds of their own!). She takes responsibility for so many things, even if there was absolutely nothing she could do to stop them. Harry did arrange Severus's burial place. Odd that they still couldn't get along. But I thought it would be very out of character if they were suddenly good friend, especially as Severus had no idea what Harry had done for him over the years. Once again, thanks so much for reading and taking the time to review!
Wow, an intense chapter. Too bad about Snape dying again. I was actually hoping to see him and Rose together.
But I guess that will never be...But at least he made a cure for the disease.
Great story as always, and now I'll read the next chapter! ;0)
Author's Response: I wanted to see them together as well. :) I never even considered the ship before this Gauntlet, but I wish it had been possible. I thought there would be too many problems if they got together this way, and there wasn't enough time to write out a more in-depth story... as it is I feel the amount of romance in this story was rushed. Maybe in my next fic. *daydreams* :p Thanks for the review.
