This is completely beautiful. I don't know if you read these reviews anymore, but I just wanted to let you know that your story moved me in a can't-stop-reading, omg-so-many-feelings, I-wish-it-didn't-have-to-end kind of way. It challenges the mind in a way that very few other pieces of literature do. I am totally blown away, and I still wish it didn't have to end. Thank you for this.

This is.. beautiful. Terrifying. Slightly beyond me. I don't understand quantum mechanics, but I do understand how all of this demented Regulus so much. Parts of it made me cry, namely when Sirius asked him to join them and Regulus refused. And it's a perfect ending, complete with the quote. Artistic timing. Although you did switch things up a bit from how J.K Rowling wrote the story of Regulus and Kreacher switching out the lockets. This was painful to read, because it led up to a conclusion I already knew, but I couldn't help begging Regulus inside my head to please, make different decisions. I loved your allusions to Harry as the person to kill Voldemort. And it's a brilliant concept, Regulus being a mad genius, comparable to Dumbledore.

I just read the entire story today and my mind is BLOWN. You have such a talent with words. The story was gripping and well-paced. Amazing.

My my, what shall I say? Haven't studied physics since I quit school and went on to study literature- but you still hooked me. And Regulus Black - he's one of the characters I wish JKR had told us more about, and your Regulus is one of the most complex, intriguing and brilliant one I've come across. Love your Sirius too- I don't think I've ever come across a Sirius so well done in all his anxieties and complexities. I liked your brief portrait of James and lily, the little glance at Remus. I loved Minerva asking about James and Lily dating- that one was classic McGonagall. How do you do every character so perfectly? Only thing, I strongly believe that the Order doesn't kill in cold blood, and Sirius said somewhere that Moody never killed if he could help it...Your ending really leaves me mystified, though it's a little off-canon, but I like that better.I mean, ever since reading DH- wouldn't Voldemort know if RAB disappeared, and wouldn't that news reach the Order? Then why would Sirius believe him to be murdered? I loved Adele too, wonderful OC, the Carrows are perfectly canonical, and last but not the least, I loved the way Regulus imagined Harry Potter.

you have juxtaposed magic and physics in a way i never thought was possible. i think your portrayal of regulus and the other death eaters to be rather beautiful, in a way that i can appreciate them to be humans despite deranged (i'm unfortunately biased). i adore how you describe the Black family: they might be prejudiced as hell, but in the end they are a family. the way you portray Sirius's leaving, and the effects it had on the rest of the family, particularly Regulus, was realistic and downright fantastic.

your portrayal of Regulus is tragic and beautiful. i love your explanation on how he discovered, and decided to destroy the Horcruxes. it's so sad how Sirius burned Regulus' letter, but I guess it's necessary =(

I sincerely hope Voldemort did not hunt down Adele after killing Regulus. I love Adele by the way. Fragile exterior, but with a strong, kind personality. Fantastic!

I think this is one of the best pieces of writing I've ever read. Not best pieces of fanfiction-- best pieces of writing. It's about failing, and remorse and redemption and goodness-- I think you have captured humanity as an essence better than anything I've ever read. All the characterizations are spot-on. I love how you show Regulus, so smart he understands everything, but he still makes mistakes, he still fails at things, and he still loses his grip on sanity. I love how he characterizes Harry. I love how he senses everything, and it's like he and the reader are dissolving in sensation, and losing everything else. I love how he finally finds his courage. I think this is at least the sixth time I've read this. If it wasn't fanfiction, I would tell you to go to every single publisher you can find and get them to take it, or just self-publish. My review is probably completely nonsensical. Sorry.

I just finsihed reading this after a marathon of several hours. I really don't know what to say. This was completly breathtaking. This is exactly what I've always wanted to write. "Epic" just doesn't seem enough to describe this.

After my entire circle of friends "broke up" with me two weeks before graduation last year, this really hit home. Redemption, and how noone can despise you as much as yourself. OK, I'm rambling. But thank you for sharing this. I cried. Your way with words is so amazing and as a physics nerd the incorporation of it made it even more beautiful to me.

Seriously, this review is absolutely terrible, sorry about that.

Please, please, please, write another story!

This chapter was so beautifully written. I was shocked when he actually killed the girl, but you captured the moment perfectly. It's extremely realistic. You're a brilliant writer!

Maddy, I have just finished rereading this and I think that you have done something absolutely amazing here, just like I did when I got the first draft. I love the way you intertwine Physics and Morality and this fic was just an amazing concept to begin with. I love the changes you made with Elise, it fits much better than your original plan. And your conversation with Dumbledore flowed a whole lot better than the original. I loved your story and I cannot wait for the next one. If you need hundreds ;) of pages of comments, do NOT hesitate to look me up.

Hey, so mething I didnt notice in my zillions of comments: Just realized that your characterization of Sirius is rather like the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. Once you pin down one thing, you cant figure out anything else. Did you do that on purpose?

Author's Response: Wow you would be the only one to notice haha! When I first wrote that passage, I knew there was something in it but I didn't know what. Then later I made the connection myself and I have this whole passage (hand-written) about how if Sirius was a physics concept, he would be the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. XD I just never found a place to fit it into the story, unfortunately. Wow that crazy that you made the same connection! We like think on the same wavelength :D

This has got to be the single, most brilliant, amazing fanfic i've read. You have really managed to step into the character's mind. Something, I honestly, will never be able to do. The descriptions are detailed but not overdone. I couldn't understand half the physics you talked about but it was all so believable, and real...you must be a genius to come up with all that. Finally, as I tell you this i'm sure i'm speaking for everyone else who's read this fanfic: WHY ARE YOU NOT A PROFESSIONAL AUTHOR. With skills like yours im POSITIVE you could become famous. You seriously need to consider writing as a career, you are AMAZING.

The best fan fiction ever written. Makes you really think, which we all should do more often. Especially since it is in our own minds, that we can always turn to when in need.

I am enjoying this very, very much. I'm at the moment insanely busy with university applications and whatnot, but I'm trying to catch up with this. I think this fic is one of the more original & well-written pieces I've read on the internet, the physics woven through it really appeals to me [I'm going to do a degree in physics, go figure] and I love the characterisations. I'm a shameless Sirius fangirl and I think the way you write him, out of control and tortured and confused, is right on the money. Bellatrix and Regulus are both fantastic -- bucking the cliches really well there. Reg is completely believable as being a conflicted genius, and he's kinda likeable even though he's done/doing horrific things. Although I want to scream at him at times for being so cowardly & unable to walk away. That's believable as well, though.

So yes. I'm loving this. :)

I'm not going to pretend like I totally understood all of this, but I do know that I loved it. I don't even have any way of knowing if the sciencey stuff in this fic is even real, but I totally loved every last bit. I loved all the characterisations, particularly of Sirius, and even though I didn't follow all of the physics, somehow it still made sense. Is that weird? I don't know. But even though I've never been that amazing at science and maths and physics, I've always loved listening to people explaining it, if they do it properly. And you made it absolutely beautiful. :)

This completely deserved the QSQ, congratulations.
