This was a very enjoyable read. Characterization has always been a sore point for me in fanfiction, and you really executed all the characters beautifully. I'd definitely love it if you wrote one for the other main characters too. =D

This is going to sound a bit weird if I don't explain first - today is the first day I've read fanfiction in nearly two years. And I'd very nearly given up again, it all seemed to have gone to the dogs; plot, characterisation, nothing seemed to be...original or more complex than tying a shoelace.
Then I found this. And you are absolutely right, I think this is a character study, and that's just what a good fanfiction needs to be. It needs to read like an appreciative extension, which this does.
You even kept to the little details of the series (your use of the number seven, for example) and those small points make all the difference. This is beautiful, quality writing.

I absolutely loved this. You had me tearing up on numerous occasions. I love that you included Viktor and Arthur and Neville. I adored reading those segments but it was just fantastic overall. Now, I'm not usually someone who usually reads canon so you must have done something right! The premise was great and I would probably read some more. I think doing the Trio might be a nice little series, almost like a tribute. Great job!

I really liked this. And while I think it would absolutely be worthwhile to do something like this for more characters, I'm glad you started with Hermione. I think you know by now that Ginny might just be my favorite character (and the Harry/Ginny ship alongside), but I really don't think Hermione (and Ron, by extension) get the treatment they deserve. I liked your detailed description of Hermione's personality, and I thought that the style you chose to showcase her with was very unique and creative. Nice job!
