do luna and romilda or i will have to hunt you down and torture you into it. otherwise, just as moving as the one about ron:)
I really liked your take on how everybody you mentioned loved Harry. It was really well-written and great. After reading this, I realize that for a few of the people you mentioned I feel the same about their affection, and just had never given much thought to it until now. Awesome job!
Author's Response: Thanks very much! I'm glad I could put your feelings into words :)
Every time I read one of your stories I think there can't be a better one and you prove me wrong. You really have a grasp of the characters. Mrs. Weasley's section made me tear up at the very frist line.
"He was hers. It wasn't up for discussion. Ever. " As a mother, I get it. I still get so angry at the Dersleys for not giving a one year old baby any affection whatsoever when his parents had just been murdered, and then no affection at all after that either.
Author's Response: Oh, thank you so much! I'm glad you like them all :) And I've always loved the relationship between Molly and Harry and her attempts to be the mother he so needs and deserves, so I wanted to do it justice in this--I'm happy to know you think I did!
Wow!! I love the idea, I think its really original! I had already read the one about Ron when I read this, and I really like that one too. My favourites were probably the Lily I, Molly, and Minerva. You captured the feeling really well and the idea about Minerva was really creative and unique! I also liked the Hermione, because the way you wrote about her feelings showed a really good take on their relationship without being too romantic. All round a fantastic piece of writing! :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it! Minerva's is probably my favourite of Harry's, so I'm especially happy you liked it and thought it creative :)
I feel like its important that I say that I absolutely love all of your "the seven women who loved.." stories, and every one of them has made me almost cry. This one was my all-time favorite, and Ron's is a close second. I most appreciate the ones from the best friends, mothers, or significant others. Please keep doing them!
Author's Response: Thanks very much! I'm glad you like them all! :)
This was amazing! Lily's point of view was powerful and moving. You knew what was coming but especially that end sentence was just wow. So full of emotion and it was just great. You did hers amazingly well! I have to admit at the last sentence I think my eyes got a little wet. I'm sad you didn't put Luna's in there, but o well lol. Minerva's was interesting, I wasn't expecting to see hers, and Cho's was different than I expected too. You did an amazing job with it like always and again i love you how you do such a great job with the characterization. :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I absolutely love Lily (and James, too) and this was the closest I've ever come to writing about her death -- one line, and that was nearly too much for me! *sigh* I'm far too attached to fictional characters. But, anyway, I'm glad you liked this and enjoyed all the characterizations. Thanks for the review.
that was amazing!
Author's Response: Thanks :)
A really really sweet story! You pinpointed really well what is so endearing about Harry, especially in Hermione's part. It's a pity you couldn't do Luna, that would've been really interesting, but I agree that all the ones you did were important too. Great story!
Author's Response: Thanks very much! Luna definitely would have been a good one to do, but I'm glad you liked the ones I chose! :)
i've ready a couple of your stories (and i plan on reading more. I happened upon Someone to Watch Over Me and was intrigued because i love the song. You've got yourself a dedicated, new fan by the way, but that's beside the point. :-)) and though i don't usually comment, i felt i had to with this one. Many of your stories have brought tears to my eyes more than once, but none of them have hit harder than this one. I don't think i've ever identified with a fanfic character as surely as i identify with Lily Luna Potter. I can hardly explain it, but the two lines "There were a great many things she could see from her father's shoulders" and "Growing up, her aunts and uncles had told her stories about the grand adventures her daddy had gone on, and sometimes when they were being nice, her brothers would let her be Aunt Hermione while they were daddy and Uncle Ron, and they would save the world in the backyard." were so poignant and hit so close to home that i just had to tell you what your works and this story, these lines especially, do to me. I just want you to know that you are talented. I reserve reviews for when i really feel i must inform the writer of something and i feel you must know this: you really are really talented. Keep writing please because your just so bloody good at it.
Author's Response: Oh, thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it and that it really touched you -- that's always something I hope my stories and writing can do. This review has completely made my day! :)
Ooooooooh! This was so good! I hadn't expected McGonagall, nor had I expected Molly Weasley. These stories are so interesting seeing things from different perspectives.
Author's Response: Thanks very much! I'm glad I could give you a few surprises and that you enjoyed the different POVs! :)
Lovely. Molly's section totally made me tear up.
Author's Response: Thanks! It was a little heart wrenching, I know :)
I thought this was incredible - I actually started tearing up while reading Molly's section. I think you were spot on with your depiction of Harry's personality. I'd have to say one of my favorite sections was McGonagall. You do see that love in the books; it's just overshadowed by the more central relationships. I was kind of expecting a Luna section; but still, a wonderful little character study.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I think McGonagall is such a wonderful character and, in general, so woefully under-explored. I'm glad you liked the section about her and about Molly :) And as for Luna -- she would have been a good one, you're right, but I decided to cut her as she'll probably have her own "seven men who love her" story.
DO RON NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Author's Response: He's on the short list ;)
cutest story ever! love it!
Author's Response: Thanks! :)
I love this idea. I loved your one-shot about Hermione as well. As you are probably well aware, your fics are incredible and I love them! I always look forward to your updates. This one though made me cry. Thanks for sharing your wonderful view of the Potter universe!
Author's Response: Thanks very much! I'm glad you liked this and the Hermione piece like it :)
So many people don't get Harry, and it seems you do. I'm glad, because I adore him.
Author's Response: Thank you! I kind of adore him, too :) I'm glad you liked this!
Okay, so I'll say again that I really love these pieces that you're doing. I think it's very creative, and you've done a great job of using a unique frame to showcase the most important parts of a character.
I thought the Cho section was the weakest in this piece. I agree with her spot here, but it...just didn't fit as well as the others did. I can't actually be constructive here, as I don't know exactly why I feel this way, but maybe it's just that the others loved him so much more (and so much deeper) that Cho's love didn't seem as significant.
The McGonagall segment was a bit of a surprise at first (though it probably shouldn't have been), but I thought it was amazingly well-written. Some of these other characters are obviously in love with Harry, and for fairly straightforward reasons (though I say that not to diminish your ability to so eloquently elaborate on those reasons). But McGonagall's love was so unspoken in the books, and you did an amazing job of extracting and synthesizing it for the reader.
The Lily Luna one caught me off guard at first, but it was pulled together nicely.
I'd really like to know what else you wrote for Ginny's section. I think the flying scene was really good, but I thought it wasn't quite as strong an ending as Ron or Harry were for Hermione or Ginny, respectively.
But despite all that, I still think it was overall a really well-written piece. The emotion that you're able to evoke means that either I'm a huge sap or this is really wonderful. Either way, good job!
Author's Response: Thanks so much! Some people have commented that they don't like this one as much as Hermione or Ginny's, so you're not alone in that. Cho does seem to pale in significance to the others, but I feel like it would be wrong not to include her love for him, even if it was a different kind that was never quite as strong. I'm glad you liked McGonagall's! And as for Ginny's -- I really just wanted to show Harry and Ginny happy together.
Uhm. Wow. I cried during Molly's part, so hard, and didn't stop until I finished Lily's. Harry's "I have a family" statement was so beautiful (it even brought tears to my eyes as I wrote it) and so powerful... I really did love this.
Lily's part was so amazing! And LiLu's was wonderful. I couldn't stop crying because it made Harry's statement become stronger, even.
The whole thing was simply great. I loved the concept (which was what caught my eye) but the way you wrote it was most wonderful... You never fail to blow me away with your stories. You're so effin talented!
Keep up with the amazing job, because I am seriously looking forward to something else from you!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I have to confess -- I got so into it while writing, I even teared up a little myself! I'm glad you liked it :)
I already reviewed but I just want to say that that was really exellent!I cried like a baby the whole time.
Author's Response: Thanks very much! I'm glad you liked it! And feel free to review as many times as you want :)
Well done, as always. I have just two nits to pick:
"... not be returning to Hogwarts, the was taken aback"
and, it looks like you had the Longbottoms being tortured into insanity during Lily's lifetime, instead of after Moldyshort's apparent death.
Author's Response: Thanks! I'll have to fix both of those -- thank you for pointing them out :)
