Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! I loved the last line from Bacchus.
i just realized i kind of misspoke in my last review; even though your story is a 'romance' story between pince and filch, it works... it's not all sexual and ooc. Its believable and funny. also, I like how you're using another story as the framework, rather than doing a straight crossover... this is how I've written a lot of my fanfiction in the past, and it's a lot of fun =)
oh my gosh! I really like your story =) I am forever trying to find quality harry potter fic, stories that capture the magical, creative and funny way that JKR writes. So many people try to write romance stories, and the ones that don't focus on romance are always too dramatic and angst-y. They just don't capture the essence of the hp world. But your story does, even though it's not necessarily completely 'in canon.' I love it so far! Thanks! I know you said you started the story a long time ago and didn't finish it, but i really hope you continue it now, because I really enjoy it so far and it would be a shame not to keep writing!
CUUUUTE!!!-ly epic. Thats all I can say.
Author's Response: Haha, thank you! :)
Aaaaaaaawwwwwhhhhh!!!
It's brilliant, really.
The tragical past of poor bitter Argus Filch, the dried up spinster Irma, the meddlesome hopeless romantics... I REALLY want to know what on EARTH did Minerva tell him. Because he would not just barge in there and ask for that book after Charity getting her to reminscence!!!! Gosh!!!
Anyhow, not only has it got all the ingredients of the intoxicating romantic comedu, but also, delightfully enthralling writing style!!!
Awesomeness made fiction! Love it!
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'll work on an update so you can find out what happens next. :D
I love this! Your portrayals of all the characters are very believable and funny. I especially loved Peeves's reference to PPP Wizard Swears. Can't wait to read more!
Author's Response: Thank you! And yay someone got the Potter Puppet Pals reference. :D
This is really good. I've always believed that there was something between them, even before the sixth book when Harry and Hermione joked about it. I mean, they're both student-hating rule-lovers. I've never actually read 'Much ado About Nothing', but the way you describe it makes it seem like an appropriate metaphor for them.
Author's Response: Thanks for your review! There will be more on Much Ado About Nothing later, but you don't need to have read Shakespeare to get the basic plot structure haha.
This is a fun story so far. Filch and Pince both seem spot-on, characterization-wise, yet I can root for them (well, Pince more than Filch; I can relate to her a lot better xD). I loved the details - Pince's bird's-eye-view mirror, incident report slips, Shakespeare's portrayal of the Weird Sisters being a surprisingly good historical account...I'm in love with details, haha. And the dialogue is clever as well. I look forward to the rest of the fic. =D
Author's Response: Thank you so much for being my first reviewer! :D I'm glad you enjoyed it. I will try to post more chapters soon!
