OK, Jess, starting to read this one. (Been out of the loop for a while) Anyway, I like the start. I'm interested in seeing where this story goes. Have I told you how talented you are lately?? Well, you know I'm a big fan!
Aww, thank you. This one falls under the dark 'n' twisted genre, so compared to the relative fluffiness of TDatL...hehe. Anyway, thanks for reading. This one is next on my list to finish, and then it's time to get back to Harry and Hermione. :)
Nice kiss at the end there! And I liked that spell Theo used to heal Susan. I wonder if that's going anywhere. And I wonder about this arrangement at the Hog's Head, it will be interesting. Will you tell us more about Theo soon? He almost seems too good to be true...
Author's Response: Hehe, things have drifted into the realm of the happy, havent they? Cant have that. Anyway, you may see that spell again. And things will be developing very soon, muahahaha. Hasta la pasta. :) ~Jess
I love Theo. Just sayin' :D.
This chapter was amazing! I love what he did to Ernie, ha ha. Although I do feel worse for Ernie now. I'm not good at seeing other people's perspectives at things so I sort of forgot he had just fought a battle :).
I wonder what Susan had in her trunk that she didn't want him seeing? And I wonder when Theo's going to find out about his father…or if he already knows…O.O
I can't wait for the next chapter! Very literally :).
Sigh...yeah. Ernie was just trying to be a good mate, but he was, naturally, a bit on edge. He doesn't see Susan for days, and then she shows up with a Slytherin, which is very o.O.
The wheels are spinning. Or something cryptic like that. Heart!
Well, well, well - that's a hell of an ending! Okay, so I brushed by the second chapter just because I had to know why they were going to the forest. That was an interesting scene. You are building a real enigma in Theo here. At least, he's that to me. I would have totally thought he'd be more bitter, but he's not - maybe because he's free? It will be fun discovering more of his character, assuming he comes out of this purple spell all right. Poor Theo. Stupid Ernie. Although, he's just defending his own, can't blame him, really. And Susan's moving quite fast, kissing Theo like that, so she could probably use a kick back to reality. I know it's probably post-trauma latching onto the first human being, but a part of me can't help but root for them, even though love borne through tragedy *coughkillingyourlover'sfathercough* is certainly a difficult love.
Anyway - that's rambly. But I did want to tell you I'm still reading and enjoying it and hope you continue your wonderful exploration of post-battle minor characters soon!
I love love love the fact that the plot is making people curious. For once, I started a story out with the end in mine and a means to it, so this should be fascinating to see if anyone will have guessed how it really ends.
STUPID ERNIE! He annoys me so much.
Yay for this chapter! Even though you ended it on a cliffhanger -_- . I laughed while reading your Slughorn, he was perfect - saying all the wrong things and making people uncomfortable.
I've told my parents I will be "writing an essay" for most of today, which really means me sitting on the computer refreshing the Most Recent's list until this pops up again :D.
Aww, don't hate on Ernie. He just fought a battle against a bunch of crazy blood purists, so he's worried about Theo hurting Susan after all they've been through. He's a good friend (and a consummate Puff). You may or may not giggle when you find out what Theo did to him, lol.
It'll be a few hours before the next chapter is up, so you could totally get some essay in. If the chapter isn't up before I leave for work, it'll be up when I get home. Ta, and *squish*.
So after getting through the shit that was Thursday and Friday, I found that I had not one but TWO new chapters to read! And it made me so happy :).
I love this so much! My favorite part here was Susan humming and Theo telling her that he wasn't used to hearing music anymore. Just so sad, and so perfect :).
Off to read number three.
I'm really glad you like this story so far. It was very wtf at first while I was reading it, and in the beginning, I changed my mind for the plot like...eight times. Hopefully, though, at this point in the story, you have no idea what I'm planning. It shall be a surprise, hehe.
Nice start! I love how you explore post-battle trauma. It's sad and dark but always well done and real. Poor Susan. I hope she gets a happier ending that the minor character of yours that I read!
Happy ending? The only thing that this phrase registers in my mind is them falling into bed together, hehe (Geddit...'happy ending'? I kill myself, really. XD)
I like post-battle characters because I like to explore the road from death and destruction everywhere to 'all was well'. I *need* to know how they got there on principle.
And as for where Susan will end up...well, we shall see, no? Muahahahaha!
JESS!!! :O :O :O
I JUST SAW THIS AND IT MADE ME SO HAPPY! It's like my birthday is on a continuous loop, it feels like it never ended :).
I love this story so far! It brings together everything that I absolutely love about your writing *cough*darkandtwistedromance*cough* and it's just gorgeous!
I love how Susan murdered Nott Sr. That sounds awful but it's the main reason that I love your Susan/Theo more than any other . I can't wait until Theo finds out in the next chapter, or until anything happens between them in the next chapter… They are both so deliciously messed up but in such different ways and I love it! :)
Thank you so, so so much!
Hehe, if I may be honest for a second, this was the original plot I'd planned for your Summer Swap story, but it went horribly awry in that it would've never been done on time and probably STILL wouldn't have been done yet. However, now that I've got my writing legs back under me a bit, this one should be done and posted within a week. I'm glad you like it, but since you have the same penchant for screwed up characters as I do, it seemed a natural step. :)
Anyway, new installment coming soon. Love you, and happy birthday again!
