Harry comes across Hermione crying in an abandoned classroom after the Yule Ball. A few moments of comfort and suddenly nothing is like it's supposed to be.
'It's not love, what's happening between them, and that's okay.'
Harry/Hermione, only not really
Summary: If Snape hadn't transferred his grudges onto a student, and Harry hadn't hated his professor as a result, they wouldn't have been friends or allies, but perhaps there would have been a grudging respect between them.
Summary: People often become who others expect them to be. When Harry was sorted into Slytherin, he realized he was alone, friendless, and apparently meant to be evil.
Summary: After being tortured into insanity, Alice and Frank Longbottom live in a closed ward for permanent spell damage at Saint Mungo’s. The Healers say they cannot recognize their family members. The Healers call them insane. Alice Longbottom drifts through time, experiencing small blips of sanity when her son, Neville, comes to visit. This is her story.
Summary: ‘He knew it was a stupid hope, but he wished, and he hoped, and he hoped to stop hoping all the same.’ It makes sense that Harry would dream for the dead to come back. We enter in the summer after his fifth year, where he is torn between continuing to wish or giving up on his senseless dreams.
